The webinar took place in the Scientix online meeting room on Monday 9 January 2017 at 17:00 Central European Time.
The webinar presented a number of websites and apps which are great (and FREE) to use in the classroom including: Google Keep, ThingLink, Padlet and Kahoot!
Along with an explanation and short tutorial, the speaker provided strategies to embed them in everyday practice so they have a positive impact on learning. In this regard, our presenter is a firm believer that technology should be planned around learning and not the other way around.
About the presenter:
Neil Jarrett is a year 6 teacher and maths coordinator at an international school in Bangkok, Thailand. Originally from London, UK, he was recently awarded a Master of Education with Distinction. Neil is interested in educational technology and ways to support student learning. He runs the website EDTECH4BEGINNERS; a log of how he uses tech in his day-to-day practice. He is also a Google Certified Educator.
